Barge-oriented container terminal / Terminal for deepsea and barge containers

Waalhaven Botlek Terminal is one of the terminals managed by the Waalhaven Group for deepsea and barge containers in Rotterdam. It is strategically situated between Rotterdam City terminals and the Maasvlakte terminals and also serves as a main transhipment hub for containers to and from all Antwerp container terminals and depots.    

Waalhaven Botlek Terminal is a barge and a shallow draft deepsea container terminal with all facilities to handle cargo efficiently and with required service levels.  The terminal is equipped with reefer connections and can handle hazardous cargo.    

The terminal is a Customs area ‘Entrepot C'. This enables our clients to tranship their containers with minimal Customs procedures and documentation. Waalhaven Botlek Terminal can assist you with almost all Customs formalities through the qualified personnel of Waalhaven Douane Service B.V.    

We are embedded in the Intermodal Transport Concept, and offer you services other terminals cannot, or only at higher costs. These services include barging, storage of full and empty containers, Customs services and additional trucking.    

Combined with the repair and cleaning facilities on our terminal via UWT, the terminal provides a unique all-in service concept in the Port of Rotterdam.
